Vancouver International Airport (IATA: YVR) is on Sea Island in Richmond, British Columbia, 12 km from downtown Vancouver, and serves the city and the Lower Mainland region. The non-profit Vancouver Airport Authority manages it, and Air Canada, WestJet and Pacific Coastal Airlines use it as a hub.

Skytrax ranked Vancouver No. 10 in its World's Top 100 Airports 2026, up from No. 13 in 2025. Wikipedia adds that Skytrax has named it North America's best airport in 2007, in each year from 2010 to 2022, and again in 2024 and 2026.

Vancouver is Canada's second-busiest airport by passenger traffic, with 26.2 million passengers, and its main transpacific gateway. It is one of nine Canadian airports with US border pre-clearance and has its own terminal for scheduled floatplanes, the Vancouver International Water Airport. The city bought the land on Sea Island for aviation in 1929.
