Tokyo Haneda
TOKYO, JAPAN

Haneda Airport (IATA: HND), officially Tokyo International Airport, is the busier of the two airports serving Greater Tokyo, the other being Narita. It is in Ōta, about 15 km south of Tokyo Station. Haneda is the main domestic base of Japan Airlines (Terminal 1) and All Nippon Airways (Terminal 2), and also serves Skymark, StarFlyer and the carriers of RegionalPlus Wings.
Skytrax ranked Haneda No. 3 in the World's Top 100 Airports in both 2025 and 2026. Travel + Leisure readers placed it No. 8 among international airports in both years; the 2025 list gives it a reader score of 84.47 and calls it a WBA Hall of Fame honoree.
Haneda was Tokyo's main international airport until 1978, after which it handled mostly domestic flights while Narita took most international traffic. A new international terminal and a fourth runway opened in 2010, and from March 2014 daytime long-haul flights returned. In 2018 it handled more than 87 million passengers, which made it the fourth-busiest airport in the world that year.
