UAE

Dubai International Airport (IATA: DXB) is the main international airport of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. It lies in the Al Garhoud district, 4.7 kilometres east of the city centre, and covers some 2,900 hectares. The airport is the main hub of Emirates and the base of the low-cost carrier Flydubai.
Condé Nast Traveller readers rank Dubai International No. 3 among the world's airports in the Readers' Choice Awards 2026, with a score of 93.18. A year earlier, in the 2025 edition, it placed No. 5 with 90.95.
As of 2025 DXB is the world's busiest airport for international passengers and the second-busiest overall; that year it handled more than 95.2 million passengers and over 2.2 million tonnes of cargo. Its Terminal 3 is the largest airport terminal in the world and the fourth-largest building by floor space. As of January 2025 more than 100 airlines operated over 8,500 weekly flights to more than 270 destinations, and almost half of all travellers are connecting passengers. The airport opened on 30 September 1960 with a runway of compacted sand, and it is planned to close once the expanded Al Maktoum International Airport is fully operational.
