Gabriel Magalhães, born on 19 December 1997 in São Paulo and often known simply as Gabriel, is a Brazilian centre-back. As of October 2026 he plays for Premier League club Arsenal and the Brazil national team. He came through the academy at Avaí.

France Football and L'Équipe name him as one of the 30 nominees for the 2026 Ballon d'Or, the annual prize for the season's best men's player. He is known for his strength, tackling and threat in the air.

After helping Avaí win promotion to Série A, he moved to Lille in 2017, with loan spells at Troyes and Dinamo Zagreb, and taught himself French along the way. Arsenal signed him in 2020 in a deal worth £27 million. In 2025–26 he won the Premier League with the club and reached the finals of the EFL Cup and the Champions League.

Gabriel made his debut for Brazil in 2023 and scored his first international goal during qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
