Pernille Harder

Pernille Mosegaard Harder is a Danish footballer born on 15 November 1992. She plays as an attacking midfielder or forward for Frauen-Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and captains the Denmark national team. She is Denmark's all-time leading goalscorer, men or women, and has been named Danish Football Player of the Year a record nine times.
France Football and L'Équipe name her one of the 30 nominees on the Ballon d'Or Féminin 2026 shortlist, published in September 2026. It is her fifth Ballon d'Or nomination, after 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2025; in 2018, at the first women's edition, she finished second by six points.
Harder has won a domestic league title every year from 2015 to 2026: one with Linköping, four with VfL Wolfsburg, three with Chelsea and three with Bayern. At Wolfsburg she won the league and cup double in all four seasons and was the Bundesliga's top scorer twice. In September 2020 her move to Chelsea made her the world's most expensive female footballer, a record she held for two years. She was the first player to win the UEFA Women's Player of the Year award twice, in 2018 and 2020, and The Guardian named her the world's best footballer in both of those years.
