Alexia Putellas is a Spanish professional footballer from Catalonia, born on 4 February 1994. She plays as a midfielder or forward and represents the Spain women's national team. Wikipedia lists her current club as London City Lionesses in the Women's Super League, after a final season with Barcelona in 2025–26.

ESPN ranked Putellas No. 2 in its top 50 women's players of 2025, noting that she "came awfully close" to reclaiming the top spot she held in 2022. France Football placed her fourth at the 2025 Ballon d'Or Féminin, The Guardian also had her fourth, and she is on the 2026 shortlist. ESPN pointed to 27 goal contributions in 24 Liga F games and three goals and four assists at Euro 2025, while also calling the year one of disappointments after losing both the Champions League and Euro finals.

Putellas played for Espanyol and Levante before returning to Barcelona in 2012; her haul there includes eight league titles, eight Copas de la Reina and three Champions League trophies. In 2021 she became the first player to win UEFA Women's Player of the Year, the Ballon d'Or Féminin and The Best FIFA Women's Player in the same year, and she won all three again in 2022 despite an ACL injury. According to Wikipedia she captained Barcelona to a continental quadruple in her last season there.
