La Brasserie de La Mer

Natal, Brazil

La Brasserie de La Mer is a fine-dining restaurant inside the Majestic Ponta Negra Beach Hotel in Natal, Brazil, in the Ponta Negra district. It serves refined French cuisine with a north-eastern Brazilian touch, under the direction of French chef Erick Jacquin, a Maître Cuisinier de France and a knight of the Légion d'honneur.

Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice Best of the Best awards rank La Brasserie de La Mer No. 6 among the world's fine-dining restaurants for 2025. A year earlier, the same awards had named it the second-best fine-dining restaurant in Brazil and the sixth-best in South America, as Revista Deguste reported.

Signature plates include steak tartare, monkfish, and filet mignon with braised foie gras, truffle purée and the chef's own roti sauce, finished with a rich petit gâteau. Chandeliers, plush seating and warm lighting give the room a romantic feel, and the kitchen is open to view. When it celebrated the 2024 award, the restaurant was marking 13 years in business.
