Fogón Asado

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Fogón Asado is a fine-dining asado restaurant in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It takes the Argentine tradition of grilling over fire and turns it into a fixed tasting menu, with guests seated at a counter around the grill and the cooks working in front of them.

Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice Best of the Best awards put Fogón Asado at No. 1 among the world's fine-dining restaurants two years running, in 2025 and in 2026. Worldbeststeaks lists it at No. 22 in its 2026 ranking and calls it one of the most distinctive ways to experience asado in the city today. The travel blog Sol Salute goes further: "It will be the highlight of your trip."

There is no à la carte menu. The main dining room seats 25 to 35 guests for a nine-course tasting menu, while the Chef's Counter takes up to 14 guests around the fire for an extended 14-course meal. Meat master Sebastian Cardamoni works with wet- and dry-aged Argentine beef on a bespoke 360-degree open-fire grill, and the sequence also brings in vegetables, breads, cheeses and herbs from across the country.
