Lion Sands Game Reserve is a private safari reserve in South Africa, the only one that spans both the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve and Kruger National Park. It belongs to the MORE Collection and runs along 13 miles of the Sabie River.
Travel + Leisure readers rank it No. 4 among their 100 favourite hotels in the world in the World's Best Awards 2026, with a score of 99.66. The same awards name it the No. 1 safari lodge in Africa.
The reserve has four lodges, River, Narina, Tinga and Ivory, and two private villas, Hinkwenu and Fish Eagle. Guests can sleep out in its treehouses, and game drives offer year-round Big Five encounters and notable leopard sightings.
