Singapore Airlines is the flag carrier of Singapore, with its hub at Changi Airport. It flies a fleet of about 160 Airbus and Boeing passenger and freighter aircraft and has been a member of Star Alliance since April 2000. The group also includes the low-cost carrier Scoot, SIA Engineering Company and Singapore Airlines Cargo.

Skytrax ranked it No. 1 in the World's Top 100 Airlines for 2026, after No. 2 in 2025. Travel + Leisure readers voted it No. 1 among international airlines in 2025 and No. 5 in 2026; the 2025 article notes that it also topped the 2024 list and quotes a reader who called flying with it the "best travel experience to date". AirlineRatings.com placed it No. 5 for 2025 and No. 3 for 2026, and Condé Nast Traveller (UK) readers put it at No. 5 in both years.

The airline traces its origins to Malayan Airways, incorporated in 1947, which later became Malaysia–Singapore Airlines; Singapore Airlines started as an independent carrier in 1972. It was the launch customer for the Airbus A380 in 2007 and for the Boeing 787-10, and it is known for the "Singapore Girl" image in its branding, with a sarong kebaya uniform designed by Pierre Balmain. According to Wikipedia, Skytrax has named it the world's best airline six times, and Fortune's 2026 World's Most Admired Companies list ranked it first in the airline category.
